Parkinson's Disease is a degenerative neurological disorder that results in muscle tremors, muscle stiffness, slow movements, and balance problems. It is often slow-progressing with symptoms worsening over many years.
Patients with Parkinson's have a dopamine deficit in their brains, but it is not known for certain how this deficit occurs. There are genetic forms of Parkinson's and those that appear to be environmentally induced.
