Botox for Excessive Sweating

Before treatment, 66% to 72% of patients were dissatisfied with their ability to perform work activities due to sweating. Afterward, just 9% to 20% were dissatisfied. The number of patients saying they were "emotionally damaged or injured" because of hyperhidrosis was reduced by about half — 76% to 83% of patients before treatment, 32% to 43% after treatment. Creams for Basal Cell Skin Cancer

While it hardly ever kills, the type of skin cancer known as basal cell carcinoma is far from innocuous. It causes lesions, often on the face, that are frequently difficult to remove without disfigurement. But now, two creams may give dermatologists a new weapon against cosmetic damage. Skin Cancer Breakthrough

Chicken eggs containing a drug that can target and treat skin cancer have been produced by Scottish scientists. Researchers at the Roslin Institute near Edinburgh, where Dolly the Sheep was cloned, used genetically modified hens to lay the drug-laced eggs. (Scotsman.com)
