Portia de Rossi Admits She Battled Anorexia
Actress Portia de Rossi has admitted to Vogue magazine that she struggled with anorexia while starring on the hit show Ally McBeal.
She revealed to Vogue magazine: 'I've often wondered if I wasn't on that show if [anorexia] may not have happened.'I didn't really know at that point what it was like to be a celebrity, and the only people I knew at the time who had a similar experience were these women whom I worked with. They became my role models.' (People)

Dennis Quaid Struggled with Anorexia
Dennis Quaid says he battled anorexia, or what he calls manorexia, during the 1990s. Quaid developed the disorder after losing 40 pounds for his role as Doc Holliday in the film Wyatt Earp.
“My arms were so skinny that I couldn’t pull myself out of a pool,” the 51-year-old actor says. He refered to what he suffered from as “manorexia.”
But Quaid, who was married to actress Meg Ryan at the time, confides he didn’t see a dangerously thin man looking back at him from a mirror. Like many people who struggle with eating disorders, his self-image was distorted.
“I’d look in the mirror and still see a 180-lb. guy, even though I was 138 pounds,” he confesses. (BostonHerald.com)
