Lindsay Lohan Denies Vanity Fair Bulimia Statement
In a statement obtained by TEEN PEOPLE, Lindsay Lohan is denying claims made in February's Vanity Fair cover story that she had an eating disorder last spring. "The words that I gave to the writer for Vanity Fair were misused and misconstrued, and I'm appalled with the way it was done," Lohan, 19, wrote in an e-mail dated January 9. (TeenPeople.com)

Eating Disorders Linked to Birth Complications
Children of women who experience birth difficulties seem to be more likely to develop of anorexia and bulimia later in life, Italian researchers suggest.
According to the team's report in the Archives of General Psychiatry, risk factors for anorexia included anemia and diabetes in the mother, and neonatal heart problems, among others. The presence of two or more of these factors raised the risk of anorexia by nearly sixteen-fold. (Reuters UK)
