Grapefruit Drug Interactions
"The 'grapefruit effect' can be strong. A glass of grapefruit juice, or a half grapefruit, consumed even 24 hours before or after taking certain drugs, perhaps as long as 48 hours, can interact with certain drugs."

Raw Food Eaters Thin but Healthy
"People who follow a raw food vegetarian diet are light in weight but healthy, according to US researchers. A study in Archives of Internal Medicine found although bones were lighter on this diet, turnover rates were normal with no osteoporosis."

Dark Chocolate May Reduce Blood Pressure
A new study reveals that dark chocolate may reduce blood pressure and help the body metabolize sugar. While adding dark chocolate to one's diet does appear to have significant health benefits, researchers warn that, because chocolate does contain fat and calories, people may need to cut back in other areas in order to fit chocolate into their diets.

Almonds Packed with Nutrition
"Americans looking to maintain a heart healthy diet should incorporate almonds into their diet. A study, published in the American Heart Association's publication Circulation, reconfirms a growing body of research that almonds may lower 'bad' cholesterol levels and help reduce risk of heart disease."

South Beach Diet in Florida Schools
"Six schools in this Orlando suburb taking part in a study by a research center founded by Dr. Arthur Agatston, the author of "The South Beach Diet." The goal of the study is to figure out whether school cafeterias are capable of serving more nutritious food, whether kids will eat it and whether their health will improve."
