Saddam Hussein Refuses Prostate Cancer Biopsy

Saddam Hussein, who refuses to have a biopsy to check for prostate cancer, (Daily Camera) should perhaps take a clue from presidential candidate John Kerry, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer after a routine exam just one year ago and underwent a radical prostatectomy. He is now cancer-free and feeling good. (Yahoo! News)

Ovarian Cancer Biomarker Found

Researchers have discovered a new biomarker that may be an early clue to ovarian cancer. This would be a great finding, since ovarian cancer is often not caught early enough to cure. (Yahoo! News)

Childhood Cancer Survivors Face Health Issues

Studies show that two-thirds of children who survive cancer will go on to have other serious health problems in the future. Radiation and chemotherapy can cause damage that doesn't show up for 20 or 30 years. (Yahoo!)

Endometrial Cancer Linked to Stress

Researchers found stressed-out female monkeys who were subservient to other monkeys had a higher risk of endometrial cancer than the more dominant monkeys ... In the study, which appears in the current issue of the journal Menopause, researchers looked at the effects of social stress and alcohol on the risk of breast and uterine cancer in female monkeys who had their ovaries removed.
