One in eight women will face breast cancer in her lifetime. Next to skin cancer, it is the most common cancer in women in the United States. Breast cancer also strikes men, though not as frequently as women.
The good news is that when detected early, breast cancer treatment is often successful. Women (and men) need to do regular self-exams and have yearly doctor exams in order to catch any early signs of cancer.
