Comments on Journals
There are no implied rights to posting a comment. Free speech means you can say what you feel you need to say without the GOVERNMENT coming down on you, not me. If you decide to be an insensitive idiot your comment will be deleted and you will be dismissed and ignored. There is no Comment Constitution out there saying Blog Owners must uphold the First Comment Amendment and they can’t delete or moderate words. I delete stuff off my blog all the time because there are a plethora of idiots out there and they seem to flock to my blog making moderation necessary.
By the way-- people who post comments intending to hurt our feelings, or make us feel bad... IT DOESN'T WORK. I don't give other people that kind of power over me anymore. Getting nice comments is cool, that's a nice thing to see. Getting stupid, snarky, mean comments, I just think, hm.... look, another stupid person who thinks they're being cool. And then I laugh at you.
Have a good day all.

I'm just tired of ignorant people making stupid and ridiculous comments on my journal, thats all. And this is hardly venting strongly. This is stating an opinion.
I don't know, it sounded strong to me. :) I'm glad you don't give people that kind of power over you anymore though. I like readig your blog. It's one of only two that I do read.
i think you have to be strong. this is your personal journal which you've opened up to others in case they might benefit from your experiences. the fact that others of us comment on some of the things that you write is nice but i understand that it is not the reason why you leave it open to the world.
for those that come and invest time to read and get to know you through your words, i think that they would have constructive, helpful, genuine comments. for those that do not invest the time and/or are just nasty for the sake of being nasty .. well, i agree .. DELETE!
if there is ever a time that my comments are triggering or hurtful without me realizing it i would expect to be deleted also. just as i would expect to be asked to leave your home if i behaved this way in person.
So why this blog? What caused you to feel the need to vent so strongly?
